Operational economics of a Screw Compressor depends on its vital component namely the Air Oil Separator. There are two principal functions of the Separator: a) Removal of solids b) Separation of oil from the air stream
Solid removal should not be clubbed with separation of oil. Each process is a distinct function. With solids clogging the media, coalescence can't take place. This leads to heavy oil carryover, excessive pressure drop and finally failure of the separator. Per the innovative principle once the solids are removed, separation of oil is handled easily by glass micro fibre-silicone treated matrix. Thus offering the best of both worlds. Low pressure drop, low oil carry-over and long life. Both stages of the separator are provided with anti-pulsation dampners to prevent media rupture.
